Anyway, it’s Toni Morrison’s birthday someone who I looked up to and found deep in inspiration in and someone I wish that was still here. She still lives through her art, though, which is a comfort.

"Rejecting the science" aka rejecting bad science that claimed CO2 is dangerous to human health, when it is not!
The audacity to claim a "power to regulate climate" and then haughtily accuse someone else of "rejecting science" is amazing. This is 12 of the purest seconds of why people hate the media I've ever seen.

Upton flood defences doing their thing. Again. Got to be the best value scheme in the country. Built in 2011 for £4.5m they’ve kept the town dry on at least 50 occasions. 20-30 homes and businesses would be flooded at these levels. But it’s business as usual today.

It’s now 40 years since this quite brilliant episode of Yes, Prime Minister was broadcast but somehow it still seems remarkably appropriate after all this time! One of the best comedy series ever and superbly acted.
