We've been blown away by the #communityspirit across the East Midlands today. Farmers have used their tractors to pull our ambulances from snow drifts, passersby and businesses cleared the roads, offers of free meals and a huge donation from @Tesco for our 999 control room.

Polite notice: sometimes we need to open our back doors to take patients inside who may be on a stretcher. Unfortunately, one of our crews, last night, went outside to discover this is how their patient’s neighbour had parked next to them, making this impossible. #PatientCare

Recently we received a 999 call about a broken egg in a fridge. This is NOT the right 999 call. The service is here for emergencies only. This is the 999 call, and then a message from some of the people who called 999 for the right reasons. Be #999wise.
