Great go see this support from neighbors for the new safety project on Court Street - still being installed, but will be a big improvement when it’s through! @ShahanaFromBK @LincolnRestler @JoAnneSimonBK52 @agounardes @BrooklynCB6 @betsyplum
Between 2020 and 2024, 155 people have been injured on this portion of Court St. Its great that the city and local electeds are taking this seriously, and many folks in the neighborhood agree!

@amNewYork NYC needs dining sheds back as soon as possible:
sociallifeproject.org
Dining sheds are an important component of vibrant public life and NYC, as well as cities all around the world, would greatly benefit from having them.

We introduced a bill to restore year-round open dining and make it easier for restaraunts. Outdoor dining was a silver lining of the pandemic, and New Yorkers want it back. We can simplify the process for restaurants to secure permits and give us more places to dine together.
Outdoor dining may soon return to New York City’s vibrant streets all year-round, despite winter weather, if a Brooklyn lawmaker gets his way.

Thank you @BklynEagle for reporting on just how much distress the @flybladenow flights to and from the @RyderCupUSA caused NY metro area residents.
brooklyneagle.com
Companies like BLADE and Zip say they plan to expand these types of flights, which bring in roughly $1,250 a pop.Â

💯👇 the former is expensive to live in and maintain. The latter produces more tax base, more housing and mobility choices, and is more healthy and sustainable. We've got to make the shift.
Never forget, if you plan cities for cars and traffic, you get cars and traffic. If you plan cities for people and places, you get people and places. Plan for the city you want. HT @Fred_Kent @PPS_Placemaking

Terrific to see the strong interest in #WilliamHWhyte's The Social Life of Small Urban Spaces film. The run at @AnthologyFilm sold out! The panel on the legacy and ongoing impact of the film showed its continued relevance and the work still to be done.
