Thank you for visiting our program, @PRMAsstSec!
It was a great day at Camelback yard with the @RESCUEorg New Routes project. I loved visiting the community food hub where refugee farmers grow produce, increase their self-sufficiency, and provide fresh fruits and vegetables for their community. Grow local, think global!

Hey @BrianKavanaghNY, support the Elder Parole bill (S15/A.3475)! You have been a strong supporter around criminal justice issues in the past. Will you cosponsor this bill to #FreeOurElders?

Undocumented workers in NY have been on a hunger strike for 17 days. And they’ve been largely ignored by most media. They’ve been left out of all COVID relief because of their immigration status. They’re demanding aid for excluded workers be included in @NYGovCuomo’s budget.

While I’m thrilled that many families will get help through the #stimulus, it’s criminal that anyone should be left behind in such a rich country. #foodsecurity #immigration #hunger

And if anyone who sees the post from @helen_dombalis and @lizziestelk wants the inside scoop on what this position is like, and what the host organization (my old program) is like, feel free to reach out to me. Never held this position, but worked closely with those who did.
Big job opening! Local Food Systems Leader at USDA - a critically important job leading the USDA local and regional food systems efforts. It's a career position rated GS13-14. h/t @helen_dombalis

It is NOT more humane to destroy soil and eliminate natural biodiversity by growing mono-crop soy for fake burgers, which require chemical agriculture.

“The US model of ag biz profiting from low value commodities combined with thru-the-roof volume works so badly for farmers that the system is propped up by $15B in subsidies — that are funneled to the bottom lines of mega corporations.”
