In insects, patterning of the anteroposterior axis relies on exquisite coordination of segmentation gene expression in space and time. And yet, there is also wide variation across species in the...

it's 2022 and we're really saying this "we propose that two parasegment-like boundaries form sequentially from the tail region of the Drosophila embryo after gastrulation" I've known this for >1yr and it still 🤯 @MBattistara @ErikClark01

Incredibly happy to share our new preprint! Endogenous WNT allows BMP to act as a morphogen in time but not in concentration when inducing hPSC differentiation. A steep learning curve, but couldn’t have asked for a better mentor and colleagues!

New preprint: varying the duration of BMP causes differentiation to multiple fates but varying the concentration does not. Led by brilliant postdoc @elecamagu

Secreted morphogen signals play a key role in the determination of cell fates during embryonic development. BMP signaling is essential for vertebrate gastrulation, as it initiates a cascade of...

Here our review on critical phenomena in embryonic organisation. Inspired by the physics of criticality, we propose that development is more than a sum of mechanochemical laws, and it needs to be approached, as a whole, as a critical system @embl @autcami https://t.co/El35Vz10nQ
