What a week at #EGU25. Co-convened a #bluecarbon session, with Phoebe Walsh presenting her latest work on trawling & seafloor recovery. Shauna Creane & Aelita Totska presented a new sediment mobility tool, & Muireann Walsh gave her first PhD poster on Irish Sea morpodynamics 👏

New multi sensor core scanning equipment heading our way in the @UCD_Earth_Sci 🙌. Really looking forward to the research opportunities this will open up in characterising Earth materials for a range of applications across climate, environmental, energy & engineering projects 🌏.

As part of this @MarineInst & @EPAIreland funded research, we teamed up with the #RVCelticExplorer to survey and monitor demersal trawled sites to investigate the impact on blue carbon potential of marine sediments, collecting km's of geophysical data+samples in the process 🔎⛴️

Another successful @RVMarineInst funded QUEST survey onboard #RVTomCrean comes to a close 🌅. Fueled by Haribo, and kept sharp by furious Dobble games over 2 Legs, we sampled some 100 box core sites + ~20m core + water samples & 4 sites for benthic lander deployments 💪
