Our latest paper is out today. Why might pescetarians include terrestrial animals in their circle of moral concern but exclude aquatic?
We found perceived distance, both spatially & lack of similarity, were factored in cognitive dissonance reduction.
Very thorough resume of Steve Kirsch’s slide into full blown anti-vaxx anti-science.
The ‘whole debate me bro’ bet is completely nonsensical. There is never an accurate metric for ‘winning’.
Performative at best; dangerous at worst.
If you believe in conspiracies, why is being called a conspiracy theorist derogatory?
If you are against vaccinations, why is being labelled anti vax a slur?
If you don’t believe in anthropogenic climate change, why is being named a climate change denialist problematic? /1
When in human development did it become acceptable to be abusive?
Since Friday, I’ve been called the following: a c**t, shill, fake, disgusting, stupid, 77th, bigot and, of all things, a door knob.
Why? Because I said there is no evidence vaccine risk outweighs the benefit.
This is quite a shocking hijack of a discussion about statins.
Dr Malhotra has not published any evidence whatsoever of his claims.
Let’s be absolutely clear about that. I’ve yet to read any conclusive evidence to support his claims regarding Omicron or vaccine damage. /1

As many of us have noticed, one of the latest to be disseminated is the WEF as controlling ‘The Great Reset’ /1
An anti vacc agenda. Mostly they have never been to a clinic, and glean what misinformation they spread second hand, or via social media.
Vaccines are not a silver bullet, they’re not perfect, they don’t suit everybody, but let’s not pretend they are not ethically administered.
Huge study of over 44m Koreans found 480 with vaccine-related myocarditis. Of that 480, 21 people sadly died.
It was extremely rare but the rate is higher than previously thought.
Worth noting for the next time someone claims no-one investigates /1
In a not entirely unexpected turn, the ‘not-anti-vaxx-anti-this-covid-vaxx’ brigade have unimaginatively pivoted to trying to promote the non-existent link between autism and childhood vaccinations.
Autism is not a disease.
Louder for those at the back: NOT A DISEASE/NO LINK.
As expected, there is a LOT of interest in this paper but I haven't seen much about the methodology used. It's a very unusual method in a medical journal so I thought I'd take a bit of time to explain what narrative analysis (NA) is ideally, and then how it is used here /1
