I did wonder if using a picture of a bacteriophage would upset some virus deniers & (rolls eyes) yes it did… A virus which infects bacteria is a virus—I also love their utterly funky appearance! Here’s a picture of a difference virus, one which affects mammals, can you name it?
Yeah—it’s worth saying this very clearly: Viruses exist We have abundant proof of their existence If you don’t understand that proof, this looks to be willful ignorance and very much a you problem Viruses are very much a real thing Image shows structural model

HOW ABOUT one of my favourite vaccines, the HPV vaccine! “No cervical cancer cases have been observed in fully vaccinated women who received the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine at age 12 or 13 in Scotland since the program began in 2008” #vaccineswork

Some people ask why I engage with the antivaxers and virus deniers on here. Well, this afternoon one of them (who does not believe viruses exist) nevertheless told me that a 20nm wide virus contains ribosomes, which are 25nm wide. And they are serious too!

Antivaxers and virus deniers still deny the SARS-CoV-2 virus causes COVID-19. "No evidence" they say... So how do you explain the below experiment? This will be challenging seeing how antivaxers are illiterate... https://t.co/OnkmPwYBMi
