Novel publ in JAHA from our group at Mt Sinai. 3687 pts with MVD and SS >22. Documents for the first time (to my knowledge) worse outcomes (including death) after PCI in pts eligible and recommended for CABG who refused, even after adjustment for SS and other covariates.

Thrilled to share our latest publication out today in @JACCJournals comparing M-TEER #aFMR vs #vFMR 🏅M-TEER: a promising option for #aFMR 📌MR <2 reduction comparable both groups 🟰 1-year ☠️ & All-cause ☠️+ HFH ⬆️ NYHA <2 class improvement overall but comparable b/w both
Our publication today in JACC describing the outcomes of MitraClip in atrial compared with ventricular FMR from 5 studies (4 with outcomes data). MR reduction to <=2+ was comparable in aFMR and vFMR (RR: 0.99; 95% CI: 0.96-1.02; P=0.53) as was 1-yr death or HFH (fig).
