I think, without hyperbole, the dumbest fucking defence of any rubbished film is “Well, if you go in expecting Citizen Kane/The Godfather/Oppenheimer (now, apparently) then…” I actually went in expecting Jeanne Dielman, 23 Commerce Quay, 1080 Brussels. Because me clever.

All these posts about England and Scotland qualifying directly and then mentioning Wales, the North and Ireland? Why mention us? We’ve absolutely nothing to do with the UK… If you mention Ireland, you may as well mention Bosnia or Poland Ireland is Ireland 🇮🇪

It’s worth noting the reviews of WICKED: FOR GOOD are still far better than those anticipated after the first trailer to the opening part.

Thanks Andrew Garfield for quietly shifting your body toward your costars Julia Roberts and Ayo Edebiri—smiling, faintly, while instinctively deferring to the women beside you. True activism

As I was saying, WICKED: FOR GOOD can barely make itself heard over the hiss of its own deflating bladder. Splitting the film was a disaster. https://t.co/9HOM1822Gv

With weak songs and uninvolving storytelling, there’s no way to reinvigorate the Wicked story a full year after part one

Dear Wicked fans, I’m warning you that the Rotten Tomatoes score for Wicked For Good is going to be lower than the first film. I urge all of you to not to worry about it and don’t attack the critics who didn’t like it. Your opinion is just as valid as theirs so just enjoy

I felt the air rushing out of the tires in WICKED: FOR GOOD. A wild flailing with none of the uncomplicated energy of the first. Should have been the last 40 minutes of one film.

THE 2026 HOLLYWOOD ISSUE In Hollywood’s golden age, studios turned regular men into secular gods: changing their names, hiding their flaws. But now, writes Ottessa Moshfegh, the era of the remote matinee idol is over—and the dawn of the almost approachable, appealingly authentic
