I feel so uncomfortable with this. Yes my comments and questions might lead to changes, but I am the one left exposed and at risk of retaliation and having these false narratives presented about me. Are there any other folks who have dealt or are dealing with this? Strategies?

Im grateful to have the courage to say hard things that validate other people’s experiences but at what expense? Then I’m seen as this ā€œdissenterā€ ā€œdisruptorā€ or chaos creator causing conflict where there previously was none (only because no one said anything).

It’s around speaking up, naming a thing and being the first, sometimes only person to do so. I end up in this position a lot and then people come to me after the fact and behind closed doors and say ā€œthank you for saying that. I’ve been feeling it too.ā€

I love how ā€œthe Blacksā€ get stuff because of affirmative action and DEI But 99% of Fortune 500 execs, 45/46 presidents, 99.9% of all Senators & fed judges ever, every Harvard president & all those white meemaws & pawpaws got their stuff bc of hard work, intelligence & ability

Conservative activists are claiming the first Black president in Harvard’s 387 year history is an affirmative action hire & actually not qualified for the job. Folks…Black women do not get jobs only white men have ever had by being mediocre and unqualified. Not happening.

A lot of white people who despise Black people see an opportunity in this crisis to destroy any measures that mitigate racism.

Lots of organizations claim to be defending young Jews on campus. Simple litmus test: do they oppose DEI? If not, do not take them seriously.
