As Republicans’ attacks on women continue, now is the time to use the full power of the executive branch to protect women and help them thrive.
That’s why today, we released our executive action agenda—a comprehensive set of requests for
@POTUS
to deliver for women.
Today, with the assistance of voice to text tech due to my PSP, I spoke on the House floor in favor of my bill to rename the Purcellville post office in honor of Madeleine Albright.
Sec. Albright was a trailblazer & inspiration to countless women in public service, including me.
Extremist Republicans won’t stop with overturning Roe. They’re attacking birth control next. My
#RightToContraceptionAct
stands up to these attacks on reproductive freedoms by protecting the right to access FDA-approved birth control from political interference.
HANDS OFF OUR H̶O̶M̶E̶ ̶A̶P̶P̶L̶I̶A̶N̶C̶E̶S̶ BODIES!
The majority of Americans want us to work on real issues. Instead, Republicans want freedom For appliances?!
They keep working to take away a woman’s freedom to choose based on her own faith in consultation with her doctors.
This week, Republicans are putting bills like the "Liberty in Laundry Act" and the "Refrigerator Freedom Act" on the floor.
Yes, seriously.
Republicans would rather protect your appliances than protect women’s bodies.
Toasters, microwaves, and coffee makers shouldn't have more rights than American women.
But MAGA Republicans' priority this week is passing a Hands Off Our Home Appliances Act.
I took to the Floor to offer my Women's Health Protection Act instead.

Bravo to the one and only
@SpeakerPelosi
!
Nancy Pelosi has blazed a trail as the first woman Speaker of the House, and as a relentless champion for women. We’re lucky to call her a member of the Democratic Women’s Caucus.
Freedom is the vision of our founders, the goal of our men & women in uniform, & our promise to our children.
With reverence for freedom & respect for all who have received it, I am deeply honored & forever grateful to accept the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Thank you,
@POTUS
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Women make up the vast majority of public school teachers, and every single day they do remarkable work for our kids.
We will always support them, and fight for the fair pay and quality benefits they deserve.
When it comes to reproductive rights, it’s clear who is putting people over politics.
House Republicans want to criminalize abortion nationwide.
House Democrats are fighting to protect access to birth control, fertility services like IVF, and abortion care.
The data is in:
Republicans refused to continue investing in families. Now, more parents are struggling to find and afford child care. And fewer women were able to work.
Showing — again — that fixing the care crisis is key to building a strong economy.
This weekend marked National Day of Awareness for Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls—when we recognize that Native women face the highest rates of violence of any group in the US.
We will keep fighting back against this

Today is National Day of Awareness for Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls.
#MMIWG
Native women face murder rates 10x higher than the national average. 4 out of 5 have experienced violence.
Their voices can no longer be ignored.

NEW: Updated recommendations now say women should start breast cancer screening at age 40—not age 50.
Pass this along to your loved ones—early detection can save lives!
JUST IN: Breast cancer screening guidelines have been finalized by a major task force, bringing the recommended age to 40 for most women of average risk.
There is a mental health crisis among teen girls, who experience increased rates of depression and suicidality.
No matter what, no one should have to face a mental health challenge alone.
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available.
Today, a near-total abortion ban went into effect in Florida. It restricts reproductive care for millions of women, before many even know they are pregnant.
This is cruel.
We can’t stop until Roe is codified into law.
Starting today, Florida bans most abortions after 6 weeks — before most people even know they’re pregnant. This is dangerous and deadly — and another move by extreme Republicans to control our bodies. We’re not giving up in the fight for reproductive rights, and we never will.
Women in Florida woke up today with fewer rights than they had yesterday.
I am appalled at the continued attacks on reproductive rights and women's health. Women deserve to have complete autonomy over what happens to their bodies.
In the latest chapter of the GOP attacking reproductive rights across the country, Florida's abortion ban has gone into effect.
It won't be long until they try to impose this on women everywhere.
Everyone should be able to decide for themselves if & when they start a family.
To the 184 House Republicans who support legislation that threatens IVF access nationwide: prove that you’re not a hypocrite and that you actually support families – publicly remove your names from these bills.
Florida's six-week abortion ban is dangerous, deadly & just the latest effort by Republicans to rip away our bodily autonomy.
While Republicans move us closer to a national abortion ban, we'll never stop fighting to affirm abortion care as healthcare & the human right it is.
