Last weekend my office hosted over 130 young Virginians for Academy Day to learn more about what it means to attend one of the military service academies.
Applications for nomination are open now. Find out more here ⬇️
It was an honor to join
@VisitLoudoun
today & be recognized for the work I've done with them to support local agritourism.
As founder of the Agritourism Caucus I've enjoyed being an advocate for these businesses which are so integral to our
#VA10
local economy & rural character.
I sat down with
@people
to discuss my battle with PSP and how I'm using my platform to raise awareness to help better treat and cure this terrible disease.
Serving my community in Congress has been the honor of my life—and I've still got work to do.
The House already passed a bipartisan FAA reauthorization without additional slots at DCA. Now a few Senators are trying to put their own convenience over the safe and efficient travel of the millions who rely on DCA each year.
I’m voting no on this reauthorization extension.
I've been a strong advocate for fixing the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. Thanks to reforms made under
@POTUS
, 2,080

residents are seeing relief.
That's a total of $137million in savings for our community's firefighters, nurses, teachers, & other public servants.
This
#TeacherAppreciationDay
I want to recognize the hard work and dedication of teachers across
#VA10
, including my husband, Andrew!
Our teachers are true heroes in our community. Thank you for all you do to help shape the next generation of leaders!
Today, with the assistance of voice to text tech due to my PSP, I spoke on the House floor in favor of my bill to rename the Purcellville post office in honor of Madeleine Albright.
Sec. Albright was a trailblazer & inspiration to countless women in public service, including me.
If your business accepted Visa and/or Mastercard between 2004 - 2019, you're now eligible to claim your share of a $5.5 billion Settlement. Eligible merchants must file a Claim Form by May 31, 2024.
I was in Baltimore today with a bipartisan group of Appropriations Committee leaders to learn how Congress can best support the response to the Key Bridge collapse tragedy.
It's important for the entire region that we work urgently to restore port service and rebuild the bridge.
NEW: I'm proud that our Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is delivering $350,000 to help Loudoun reduce their carbon footprint and meet clean energy goals.
These investments are good for the local environment, public health, and the future of our planet.
Today in
@AppropsDems
, I spoke w/
@ActSecTodman
about
@HUDgov
's budget priorities.
As a former guardian ad litem, I'm interested in HUD's work to support youth ageing out of foster care. I also appreciated hearing new updates on housing resources for domestic violence survivors.
The 2024 Military Academy Nomination is now open!
If you or a young Virginian you know is interested in learning more about academy nominations, come out to
#VA10
Academy Day this Saturday, May 4 at 10 a.m. to hear directly from academy representatives.
I spoke with
@SecretaryPete
today in
@AppropsDems
about the transformative investments we're making in Virginia passenger rail and transit thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
I'm also pleased to see new efforts to protect transit worker safety & rights in the workplace.
The Senate's misguided proposal to add new flights at DCA would jeopardize safety and cause even greater complications and delays at this already overcrowded airport.
I join my National Capital Region colleagues in opposing this change.
National Airport is 60% over capacity. Adding additional flights will worsen delays, exacerbate pilot and flight crew exhaustion, and risk the safety of passengers flying in and out of DCA.
