Despite my better judgment (the risk of being harassed by trolls) many people on this app feel like friends, so I wanted to share this post about my late father who passed away last week. His life epitomized the American Dream—a dream that often seems elusive today. 🧵

REMINDER: While National Democrats have failed you, there's a rogue group of State Democrats who are openly taking money from Corporations and Billionaires to buy them drinks and fancy hotels in Vail. It's important we go after terrible Democrats everywhere, including here.
Ethics complaints were submitted to Colorado’s Independent Ethics Commission, which is charged with reviewing allegations of violations of the state’s 20-year-old gift ban.

Senator Kirkmeyer -- you and Republicans should totally bring censure motions and hold these folks accountable for these major ethical violations! I know many Democrats who would join you! Time to show some leadership!
This quote 👇sums up exactly how Democrat elected officials regard the Constitution. “One person’s compliance is another person’s loophole. The constitution is what it is.”- Bernie Buescher, a Democrat and a former Colorado Secretary of State It’s just something to “work

Anything short of calling for Schumer to be replaced is performative outrage designed to mollify you

The political tides have so widely shifted on Palestine & Israel that now being a Pro-AIPAC Democrat is so damaging that it will cost candidates their primaries. Just a few years ago anything but utter loyalty to Netanyahu was the requirement for Democrats. Keep Organizing!

Chuck Schumer and folks who supported him like Hickenlooper must be ousted. We've had enough with corporate donor backed Democrats. It's time to elect a Senator from Colorado who will actually fight for the working class.

.@RoKhanna, who has called for Chuck Schumer to be replaced, says the only reason other Democrats aren't calling for it is because it would "offend a lot of donors." "Are we gonna be beholden to the donors that have gotten us two terms of Donald Trump, or are we gonna listen to

I find it INCREDIBLY suspicious that the 8 Senate Democrats who voted with Trump are not running in 2026 This was orchestrated in connection with other Moderate Democrats who actually are at risk next year. Do not forget this. Vote every Democrat out who supports Chuck Schumer

You are acting like Michael Bennet made the CTC expansion happen. If Bennet didn't exist in 2021, Sherrod Brown & others would have passed it. Bennet was a NON FACTOR for CTC. He's leaving the Senate to run for Governor BECAUSE he's not important in the Senate! He does nothing!

I will bet a Denver Michelin star restaurant tab that Phil wins. Bennet does NOT have the juice. It's clear from all the Democractic party events that Phil had the base and momentum. He even has more hard side cash.
@JBooth_history @DeepNotShallow On a serious note Bennet isn’t losing this race

Side note: Great plug for other DC & Neolib Trolls to give me a follow so you can keep up w/ "the most insufferable person in Colorado politics" dubbed by THE Junior Neoliberal Shill of the Year, Tobin Stone. Hot takes & water cooler talk for the office. Endless entertainment!

The CTC was not created or invented by Michael Bennet. He’s an empty suit who slapped his name on a decades-old, broadly supported policy along with other Senators. Read here. He's barely mentioned. He wants the credit for other people's work.

You blocked me and other progressives after calling you out on your really conservative stances. I confronted you in person about your mean online demeanor and you went white as a ghost and couldn't speak. Maybe talk less smack online if you can't back it up in real life.

Matthew Yglesias is like a Republican plant designed to give establishment Democrats the worst advice right? How can one guy be so wrong so often.
I think if you want to understand what the minority of senate Dems who are supporting this deal are thinking, you actually do have to set the politics aside — they are concerned about the harm the shutdown is doing and high-mindedly want to bring it to an end.

If and WHEN Michael Bennet loses the Governor's Race in 2026, he will probably announce his Senate retirement and if not, he will face a primary in 2028 that will oust him from his Senate seat.
@DeepNotShallow Has bennet said what he'll do if he loses the gov race?
