Lmaaooooo my coworker went to Disney world with his kids and the first thing his son said when they were making a lightsaber was "Why aren't there any other kids here?"
My brother died of drug abuse and alcoholism at 27. I recently started drinking A LOT and I got bloodwork done and apparently my liver is fine. This really puts into perspective just how much my brother was drinking, an absolutely insane amount
@kyzcralotSxaM
I'm surprised you didn't get berated by an old grandma asking if you were a member there
Went to go visit my parents and used their community pool. There was a grandma harassing people entering asking if they lived there
Holy shit, my work is throwing out hundreds of pounds of copper wire and I'm thinking of unironically taking it and selling it. I've turned into a meth head
@softminus
There's a dude who epoxied a hotdog in a bun for over 2 years and it doesn't seem to have exploded. I think it being contained does some weird stuff with the chemistry that makes it unable to decompose
You see this book? It's a weapon of mass destruction. All mentions of linear algebra should be banned and it's textbooks should be burned as part of the war on AI terror
@mbateman
You're not supposed to soak it in water you're supposed to soak in a mix of tomato sauce and vinegar. It helps remove the coating that you develop from cooking
@TheOmniLiberal
I don't trust any food takes from the dude with the pallet of a literal 9 year old. Your food takes are so childish that every women that has ever had sex with you should be arrested for statutory rape
@fasc1nate
Everything living in the sea isn't from the earth and was actually placed on the planet by an advanced alien species to play a joke on humanity. Sea life is so weird but very cool
@softminus
Wtf that thing is absolutely nasty. That's really interesting though, I've been doing some research and apparently there's a 50 year old burger that doesn't look too bad. I wonder why there's a difference
@dissproportion
No, you're absolutely correct. Online dating is very soulless and it really sucks because that's the modus operandi of dating in this day and age
@antenacactus
I still can't believe Vaush thought that one cop planted drugs in the dude's car. The conclooder concludes yet again
"This cop was TRAINED"
@zeta_globin
There really is some sort of stigma from PhD peeps towards non PhD peeps in the same field. I was talking to a professor who works with a guy at micron and he only had good things to say about him but at the very end he had to caveat all of it with the fact he only has a masters
@vocalcry
The hydroflask is fucking based. It's so perfect, it's vacuum insulated, it's relatively cheap, it's well made and overall just a great product
Why do people like Python. It makes me want to kill myself every time I have to deal with package dependencies and have to use wheel files on a computer without an internet connection
@dissproportion
This really is the goal, Alcohol with no side effects or a snynthol. Alcohol is way too good of a drug for how much it damages your body
@kyzcralotSxaM
Tpot is anything but polite. Everyone at the center of tpot is usually some sanctimonious, judgemental smart sniffer
It's like a bizarre combination of mean girls with wannabe academic grifters
I'm deactivating tomorrow and if I come back less than a week from now I owe a random person who replies to this tweet $1000
Trying something new to keep me off twitter
@slurplebrained
I think about a year, that's the thing tho my brother started heavily drinking and like within 2 or 3 years he passed away. Just interesting to think about how much alcohol it would take to do that
Smart watches are a waste of money and they're just one more device you have to charge
I have never seen a good use case for them outside of health or sleep related monitoring stuff
@growing_daniel
I refuse to take up rock climbing exactly because of this stereotype. I don't care if I'm the last tech bro in the world who doesn't rock climb
@MarmotRespecter
I'm not trying to be a LIBRUHL but I don't even think this is really masculinity, it's just being a good human being.
I don't mean just the ethical "good" either I mean it in terms of being the ideal human as well
@browserdotsys
Exactly! Glad you were able to clean it. Cleaning these cast iron pans are a pain in the ass, idk why someone would like these things tbh
@Duderichy
I've known some peeps who have parents making over 200 grand combined living in one of the highest income areas in the US who had made them work through college and take out students loans
It's insane, I can't imagine being a parent and fucking with my kid's future like that
@FeralPHunter
I mean I agree but the reason we have weaker communities and this much Social atomization is really just because nobody wants to "try" to be social anymore. Why? I have no idea but in our interpersonal lives it's pretty obvious we've fallen off socially
@Noahpinion
I mean I have female friends and am a shy nerdy guy. Women do not find that archetype attractive at all. There are other dudes like me who can attest to it
The exception proves the rule, if you see a nerdy dude getting attention from women it's notable because it's rare
@DrChrisCombs
Absolutely true. I feel like a lot of STEM people have a superiority complex when it comes to other fields. Knowledge isnt 100% transferable between fields, it's why we specialize in the first place
The idea that men don't complement other men isnt accurate at all imo. If you touch grass it's obvious men complement men.
The problem is that complements from other dudes don't mean anything sociosexually whereas a complement from a woman does
@man_ditch
It's also good to keep in mind that one persons oversharing is another persons regular sharing. Just cause someone might be sharing some pretty serious stuff with you doesn't mean that they're trying to force a connection or that they think much of it
