State Rep for District 47 Burrillville/Glocester. Whip for RI House Republican Caucus. A dyslexic, so all spelling and punctuation errors are my own.
Burrillville, RI
Joined August 2009
I am a liberal Republican. Not liberal in the progressive illiberal, statist sense. But liberal in the classical, enlightenment sense as embodied by Fredrick Douglas, Thomas Jefferson and Hayek.

The Feds existence undermines the stability and credibility of our economy.
The Fed was designed to be insulated from politics to maintain the stability and credibility of our financial system. The President is breaking the law, abusing his power, setting a dangerous precedent, and undermining our economy.

Where were you when the FBI went after Michael Flynn and his son?.
Washington Post Editorial Board:. “It is a valid fear that the case against [John] Bolton is a fresh instance of the old Soviet saying, ‘Show me the man, and I’ll show you the crime.’”. Trump’s FBI is going on fishing expeditions into his enemies. It. Is. Happening. Here.

Don’t forget how he would have more flexibility after the election.
No president has done more to empower Vladimir Putin than Barack Obama. The reset, the red line, the belittling of Mitt Romney for suggesting Russia was a national-security threat, the non-response to the 2014 Ukraine invasion. This is high-school theater. That's all.

The left is on a mission to destroy federalism and our constitution because those two institutions have prevented their takeover of the country. A tyrannical majority is not any better the a tyrannical dictator.
It is helpful to everyone for the modern American left to come out and openly acknowledge what has been obvious, but denied, for a long time: their objective is to repeal and replace the existing U.S. Constitution.

He is contradicting himself. If the yes were true the no wouldn’t exist.
@MajToure999 Yes, because we grew into a superpower and still maintain the Constitution. No, because government grew to big and is overly involved with people’s lives.

He isn’t wrong.
The police/troops in DC should quit arresting people for carrying a firearm without a permit. They’re publishing this metric as if it’s something to be proud of, but it’s not. In high crime areas like DC, people rely on their right to keep and bear arms to keep them safe. I do.

Partially correct. He has alienated elites on both sides of the political spectrum. acknowledging that is acknowledging a demographic change. Has happened in RI already and the blue collar working class have moved in the opposite direction.
This isn't a result of demographic change. The shift to Trumpism has alienated a lot of traditional Republican elites.
