It is a great day in Texas. The Texas legislature is ending, so they can no longer enact more legislation that takes away freedom and local control! Hopefully there will be no special session!.

Anybody who has been in education very long knows these legislatures are not concerned about public education. This is now and has always been about how they can get their hands on public dollars!.

If you want an effective school you only need to do a couple of things. 1. Teach reading, writing , math, science and history (all other subjects are bonuses for kids).2. Keep kids safe at school. 3. Leave political social issues to parents and out of the school.4. Repeat.

Have we not considered that the introduction of HIGH STAKES ACCOUNTABILITY and Standardized Tests were the downfall of education? Too much time and emphasis by TEA and legislatures to make sure kids can bubble appropriately instead of spending that much needed time to engage kids.
