Happy to share our new preprint on codon optimization using large language models. It was an honor to co-lead this work with the amazing @DaveVariable and @milesgander. Shoutout to all the team that made this possible @abscibio ! https://t.co/ZcmQk26jWD

I’m very proud of this work, and think it’s very rigorous (26 supplemental figures/tables!). Codon optimization is a very hard problem, and we improved substantially on the state of the art. I’m looking for my next opportunity so please drop me a line if you think this is cool!

I’m very happy to share that my work at Absci is now public! Great tweetorial here by @milesgander on our codon optimization tool. We generated functional expression data to train deep learning models. Many thanks owed to my coauthors! https://t.co/QmqNUTQ9SJ

Excited to announce our recent paper at @abscibio developing deep learning-based codon optimization. Using LLMs we learn natural patterns of codon usage, predict expression levels and use our models to design high expressing CDSs on proteins outside our training set. Thread (1/N)

Theres been a lot of negative news lately, but one positive personal development is that my paper on IFN, TNF, and human intestinal epithelial cells with @tim_nicelab, @jakevanwinkle, and many others is officially published! https://t.co/guHLvQbnAb

Being a science hoarder paid off when the RNA I banked contributed to this cool paper!
Our lab & @Rauchlab's collaborative study on human inflammasome responses to Salmonella Typhimurium in intestinal epithelial cells is now online!

I am very excited to share the final form of our publication @eLife! Studies by @jakevanwinkle together with @baldridge_lab uncover epithelium-specific antiviral protection stimulated by gut bacteria. Thanks to all contributors! https://t.co/FH85ljdxht

It’s preprint day! As a postdoc with @tim_nicelab I established an IEC organoid biobank and investigated cytotoxic effects of IFNs and TNFa. While I’ve left the lab now, I’m very excited to share this story and I can’t wait to see what else this biobank leads to!

Congrats to @OHSUSOM student Jonathan Wallace and @DaveVariable on publication of this review! I learned a lot about this complex topic from writing with them and am excited to see how studies in this area progress.
Happy to see the latest review I edited in our @FrontImmunol Type III IFN special topic is now out by @tim_nicelab's lab. Thanks to @EdelblumLab & Dr. Gamero for your constructive comments! It is a great mini-review discussing type III #IFNs & #IBD 😀👏

I helped write a review on innate immunity in IECs with @RauchLab and @tim_nicelab and it’s available for free until 10/20! With the best graphical abstract ever provided by Bella. https://t.co/nGs7UGDXr6
