I just found out that a close family friend, Abdullatif Ali, was massacred in his home in Jableh along with members of his family. Gunmen entered his house, then proceeded to kill him, his daughter, and her two children. Abdullatif was a longtime Alawite dissident known locally
A contact in Jableh just informed me that fighters have been going door to door asking if residents are Alawites. She confirms that lots of homes have been ransacked, jewelry and other belongings stolen, and cars and passports set on fire. It seems as though the scope of these.
