There should be a kind where it’s both, or, like, right in the middle. Like a penne vodka sauce color and taste. Name it after somewhere in between Manhattan and New England. Like Long Island.
@thatfrood I went into a place just cause the soup of the day was (Manhattan) clam chowder, and when the waitress explained the Manhattan kind is tomato instead of cream, I'd never been so disappointed!

Why yes, as a matter of fact I squirreled it all away in a large cigar box buried directly under the southeast trestle of the old Yalobousha River Railway Bridge about five feet deep, but I’m sure no one would ever think to look for it in such a spot…

Trying a new form of drug called an “inedible.” It is an inert pill of insoluble metal that passes through the body without interacting in any way. It has no psychoactive effects, and also no physical effects, nor even any placebo effects because it makes no claims. It costs $20.

@jackwdenton Evidently I am not smarter than an eighth-grader from 1899, because I can say with certainty that an eighth-grader from 1899 would not have hit his online article limit preventing him from taking the quiz

the thing about the chesterton's fence metaphor is it begs the question that the status quo is fine. there's no one around. no urgency. presumably some reasonable, discoverable intent. but sometimes it's a tree toppled into the path and actively crushing some hikers underneath it
