Student-athlete advocate, coach, educator, & mentor that focuses on: academic achievement, character development, college recruiting, & personal development.
One creative way to set yourself apart from other HS recruits is to personally introduce yourself to prospective college coaches on video. Show them who you are outside of your uniform & let them know why you want to attend their school.

Our Dear Brother

If you’ve built solid relationships w/teachers, coaches, or counselors, make sure you don’t lose contact w/them. Periodically text, e-mail or visit to let them know how you’re doing (even after you graduate). This makes it easy 2 have them 4 a job reference or a letter of rec.
c/o 2021 Recruits:
Due to the pandemic, there is a growing list of colleges/universities that w/not be requiring

test scores. You’ll still have to fulfill the other NCAA eligibility requirements but the test will be optional. Do your research.

When sending e-mails to college coaches, teachers or future employers, make sure it is not in text talk or slang. There shouldn’t be any misspelled words & it’s got to be in proper grammar. Proofread before you press send. You only get one chance at a first impression. 💯💯💯
Parents: The decision on where your child goes to HS should be taken just as serious as the decision on where they go to college. Don’t wait until they’re in 8th grade to start looking. Do your homework, visit the schools, ask questions and be honest about your child’s ability.

RECRUITs: You all want the OFFER, the 🔁, the 👍🏼, the FAME, a GAME INVITE, a SCHOLARSHIP to ✍🏼, and even a NIL deals. But do you really want the REQUIRED WORK it takes during the fall?!?

Student-Athletes:
If your summer ain’t spent waking up early, working out at least twice (weights, conditioning, skill development, stretching), reading, and working on some

If you’re a hooper you need to lock in on these workouts. There’s nothing more impressive to a college coach than a player who can finish at the rim with both hands and consistently get to the foul line in lieu of.

If you're a senior, haven't got much recruiting attention, & want 2 play at the next level, DO NOT GIVE UP. YOUR CAREER ISN'T OVER. Contact your local

ASAP & inquire about earning a roster spot. Many careers have blossomed after a successful stint at a JC. Why not yours?

Gotta get in the hole, young brotha. Them quads should be parallel to the ground. Focus on less weight and proper form first, then the strength and gains will come. I’m looking forward to seeing you have a monster Senior year.

If you're in season, invite your teacher(s) to come see you play. Let them know you enjoy them as a teacher & you'd love 4 them 2 come & support you. Never ever forget, a positive relationship w/your teacher will have a positive effect on your grade.

Everyone has asked me about the Back foot read in press coverage. So I found a clip of me doing it. WR always has to come to balance when we press. Back has to move 1st. When it does step and punch!!!

If the student-athletes you coach-up learn and recreate just 50% of your anticipation skill they will be definite difference makers in their secondary units.
When a college coach (from whatever school) comes to your campus & speaks with you, treat that as an interview. Be professional. Be confident, make eye contact, firm handshake & also ask them questions. You’re interviewing them 2. Ask about the school/graduation rates/scheme/etc.

: Make sure you pick up a book(s) this summer and READ. It don’t make sense to be physically training your body all summer but do nothing enriching for the brain. Choose a book about a topic or person you want to learn more about.

I have a better idea. Have them message you about scholar-athletes who excel on/off the field & in their community. Let’s start changing the narrative. Use this pandemic 2 promote the students who are making a real difference.

I’ll never understand why so many parents pay for private school education when their teenage (or close to teenage) children give minimal effort in the classroom. Wise man once said you can get a “C or D” for free in a public school.

SAs: You MUST update your Twitter bios. Use this template‼️‼️‼️ Provide college coaches w/everything they need to know about you so they can look you up, contact you, and eventually recruit you. (1 of 2)
