Remembering Phil Byrne, owner of @seansbarathlone who passed away suddenly last Friday night, Phil was a co-litigant in the @fbd_ie Covid insurance cases and his integrity and determination demonstrated during the case was reflective of his character. Phil shunned the limelight

The industry couldn’t have made more noise about the crisis in our sector !@adriancummins .Decision is beyond tone deaf and once again favours the business with scale whilst ignoring the hard working people trying to make a difference to our precious hospitality landscape .

Corporation tax revenues look to be surging yet again. Figures published just now show €3.7bn was collected in August alone. That's more than double the same month in 2023 and almost as much as was collected in a full year a decade ago.

Not sure there’s ever been more a more technically accomplished Irish boxer than Kellie Harrington. Absolute class in the face of raw aggression.

What a performance by Kellie Harrington. The only fighter in that weight class (60kg) born in the 80s and she looks fitter and sharper than all her opponents. Her dedication and discipline to defend her🥇 is breathtaking. 🇮🇪 🇮🇪

You’d have to wonder when you see Irish journalists retweeting completely fake news being attributed to Kellie Harrington. Especially when Harrington has already fought and beaten Imane Khelif. And she’s not in the same weight class as Khelif or Lin Yu-Ting.

@adriancummins VAT on restaurants in Spain is a flat 10%, this includes wine & beer. The Canary Islands have a flat rate of 7%. In Ireland it is (now) 13.5% for food and 23% for any alcohol or soft drink. So the average VAT rate on restaurant dining is actually closer to 18% Rip off Ireland
