Brilliant field visit to the Bavarian Forest National Park with @LifescapeProj, talking about wolf and lynx conservation and the impacts of spruce bark beetle…for once a national park that is genuinely IUCN WCPA Cat.2!

What is suggested here is restoration - regen-agriculture, nothing wrong with either approach…BUT most rewilding definitions include a recognition of ‘self-willed land’. Continually calling any form of conservation activity rewilding dilutes meaning @LandEthics @markwilderness

…farmers outnumber conservation experts by two to one, nature rarely on agenda at board meetings, only one national park can account for the ownership of all the land it covers…as we’ve been saying for years! ⁦@markwilderness⁩ ⁦@LandEthics
