On the Hall of Shame today we have @RupertLowe10 who wants to make it virtually impossible to claim disability benefits, meaning millions of disabled people across the UK would be plunged into deep poverty

“Experts” like Timimi push 'de-diagnosing' ADHd while 700,000 wait up to 10 years on NHS lists because of underfunding. Rather than take responsibility, the government and culture-war warriors want to invalidate suffering and gaslight our diagnoses away. We have more diagnosed

People with ADHD have what’s called Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD). It’s an extreme emotional response to perceived criticism or rejection. Your brain can’t regulate the emotional pain, so a small comment feels like a devastating attack. A minor correction feels like total

You’re right The Sunday Times! Now keep going! Say it after me: “Billions in tax-payer money is being funnelled out of the NHS in various ways, because politicians are turning the NHS into a cash-cow for private shareholders.” https://t.co/SEMx6iWucb

Disabled people aren’t a “cost.” We’re contributors to families, communities, culture, and the economy. But society only counts value in paid work, ignoring the reality: unpaid care, mutual aid, advocacy, creativity, problem‑solving, innovation born from necessity all of it

Medical PTSD is far more common in the chronic complex illness community than people realize. Medical gaslighting was not taught in medical school in my time, and it urgently should be, given the harm it causes to the most severely ill patients.

Fatigue budgeting isn’t laziness. It’s survival. Disabled people plan every day around limited energy: one task means another has to wait, a shower replaces a social life, a hospital appointment wipes out the week. This isn’t poor time management. It’s the reality of living

C O V I D is contributing to escalating sickness and disability. We know from the studies what it’s capable of. Thanks to accounts like tern, who looks at NHS England data, we have further evidence. Most people aren’t aware or are desperate to blame anything else instead.
I just want to do a very quick run through the latest up to date charts of rates of sickness absence in *young* doctors here. Yeah. This is still *really* important, and I'll explain why in a moment.

This is a real issue that food banks are seeing across the country: people are being forced to get into bed because they can't afford to put the heating on. Many of them are in receipt of Universal Credit. It's time for change. Everyone deserves a warm, safe place to call home.
