Poor @sandwellcouncil This could have been opened and gritted. Lots of visitors in cars have attempted to gain access and have had to perform uturns in unsuitable conditions. This is also putting strain on ungritted residential streets where people are now parking.

At an EGM Last night, we voted on granting Freeman of the Borough status to former Warley MP, Lord John Spellar. I abstained on the vote to ‘bestow Sandwell’s greatest honour’ on Spellar. There are too many political nominations lately - especially Sandwell Labour figureheads.

Last night, Cllr Kordalla and I refused to vote for council rent increases for Sandwell residents. People are already struggling, and it’s unbelievable that a Labour run council (partnered with a Labour government nationally) would even consider this right now.
