I spent time with this Bedouin community in May 2023. I heard about the pressure they were under to be removed from their land & homes. So sorry to hear this devastating news, thinking about the people I met whose lives will be uprooted. This is oppression & injustice in action.

Working with our local partners, we are responding to support 3,000 families in Southern Haiti with cash and hygiene kits as well as repairing damaged public water systems so people can once again access safe drinking water and reduce the risk of waterborne diseases spreading.

It’s the world’s poorest countries that continue to bear the brunt of the climate crisis with least funds to adapt – like Haiti which was recently hit by Hurricane Melissa. This needs to be front and centre in the minds of country negotiators at #COP30.

Fighting this year in eastern Congo has uprooted hundreds of thousands from their homes. Thanks to funding from @pciassembly our local partner CBCA built 60 shelters in North Kivu Province to house people living with a disability & elderly people whose homes were destroyed.
