I spent time with this Bedouin community in May 2023. I heard about the pressure they were under to be removed from their land & homes. So sorry to hear this devastating news, thinking about the people I met whose lives will be uprooted. This is oppression & injustice in action.
Yesterday, 12 November 2025, the Israeli Supreme Court gave its final approval to eviction lawsuits filed by the state against all the 500-plus residents of the unrecognized Palestinian Bedouin village of Ras Jrabah in the Naqab (Negev). The court rejected a final appeal,

It’s the world’s poorest countries that continue to bear the brunt of the climate crisis with least funds to adapt – like Haiti which was recently hit by Hurricane Melissa. This needs to be front and centre in the minds of country negotiators at #COP30.

'COP30 offers a crucial moment to course correct & limit the devastating climate & economic impacts on countries like 🇧🇷. But this can only happen if wealthy countries like 🇨🇮 deliver on long-promised pledges to cut emissions & provide climate finance' -@r_fitzpatrick92

It's been over 2 weeks since a ceasefire was agreed in Gaza but Israel still restricts the amount of food & aid reaching people in need. Our colleague Reham from @wac_pal tells @irish_news how people are coping & describes the emotional moment when she saw the ruins of her home.
