Are you an NHS staff member and have had to care for one of those participating in the racist riots in the last week? Keen to speak with you.

Black and brown people’s right to exist in safety shouldn’t rest on their ability/willingness to serve the rest of the population. Also let’s call racism and Islamophobia what it is. Words have meaning. 3/3.

The labour of black and brown people without seeing their humanity - that’s sort of the reason race/racism was invented. Playing into this narrative that there are “good” (and therefore bad) immigrants isn’t helpful, however well-intentioned 2/.

I really appreciate the support I’m seeing on here in the wake of the riots. But. These “an immigrant saved my life” posts aren’t necessarily doing what they’re intended to…it’s perfectly possible within our current structures to benefit from 1/.
