Sangita Myska was named Radio Presenter of the Year in 2023. Yet she was sacked from LBC simply for reporting the truth, bad, bad choice. #BoycottLBC

Today the @libdems have put down an amendment to the Kingās Speech calling for a two state solution, an immediate bilateral ceasefire and that Hamas should not be in charge of Gaza. We need the bloodshed to stop and point clearly to a lasting peace.

Just a little reminder that Government have spent more money on the failed Rwanda scheme than it did on domestic abuse refuges for women and children.

One for @RishiSunak, @SuellaBraverman and @LeeAndersonMP_ - if you want to change the law, you need something you donāt have - Ā a mandate from the British people. Ā Call an election and make your case. Respect democracy - flawed as our version is.

We need government, not politics. Government by constitutional norms, not party-political factionalism. Government in the interests of the people, not for the self-interest of ideologues. Reform of the system is beyond urgent.

So in Sunak's new Cabinet we have: - Environment Sec married to the exec of sewage-pumping water firm - Health Sec in charge of obesity married to CEO of major sugar firm - Foreign Sec tainted by Greensill lobbying scandal & isn't even an MP Sounds like "common sense" to me...

One thing that is clear from the Braverman letter is that the Home Secretary herself, who was previously Attorney General (so the government's legal advisor) knew that the Rwanda policy was a huge legal risk, and advised the government of this. It was always a bad policy

No 10 has defended Lee Anderson for suggesting they should break the law and send people to Rwanda anyway. The Conservatives, everybody. The party of law, order, lobbying scandals, fraud, partygate, democide, stochastic terrorism, hate crimes and rape allegations.

@PippaCrerar This shit again ššš We are witnessing the British Constitution at work: 5 independent judges, in an independent Supreme court, saying the plan does not comply with our laws, and international law. Sovereignty in action. Itās what they all wanted.

Itās easy, amid all the āexcitementā, to overlook the fact that Tories are *still* prioritising psychodrama & internecine warfare over governing & providing stability. They are all calamitously unfit to rule.

@amcarmichaelMP I would add Alistair that the content of her letter also shows why she should never hold high office again. The enthusiasm for coming out of/blocking the ECHR, HR, etc is clear as day and a warning of how our democracy and rights are so very fragile.

Woman who dog whistles complains when dogs turn up.
Our brave police officers deserve the thanks of every decent citizen for their professionalism in the face of violence and aggression from protesters and counter protesters in London yesterday. That multiple officers were injured doing their duty is an outrage. 1/3

Striking how many ordinary peopleās lives were horrifically impacted by Bravermanās actions yesterday and needless to say all the Mail on Sunday focuses on is Goveās curious habit once again of mingling with protestors and making himself available for police protection.
Thank you @SuellaBraverman - your dog whistle rhetoric made mine, and other peopleās day at @LondonWaterloo extremely frightening. Your words have inspired racists to terrorise us and make it harder for @metpoliceuk to do their job today. You need to resign, NOW #ThankYouSuella

Urgent - the Palantir NHS data deal is a huge threat to the NHS, but it still hasnāt been signed, and there are reports that the government is now wavering. This is our chance to get it dropped - sign the petition to the health minister now:

Grant Shapps justifies Israel's war crimes by saying when Britain bombed Dresden we killed 35,000 civilians. Yes, and after the Second World War we and the rest of the world signed and ratified the Geneva Conventions banning such actions as war crimes #bbclaurak

Shappsā argument is that the scenes yesterday were always going to happen & had nothing to do with Braverman emboldening the far right Yet thereās been pro-Palestine marches over the past few weeks without the scenes witnessed yesterday This is on Suella #bbclaurak
