In light of the fact that repeated studies suggest that women are more likely to be develop Long Covid, I think it's really important to know what's happening with the different health conditions that specifically affect women. This is a painful thread at times.

call me crazy but I don’t think there should be “agricultural billionaires” who control “a large chunk of California’s water”

Lynda and Stewart Resnick, the agricultural billionaires known for privately controlling a large chunk of California's water, are selling an Aspen property for $300 million. If it sells for anything close to that, it will set a record for the most expensive house in the country.

Covid is wrecking T-cells in study after study, yet people still act like it’s just a cold. This virus doesn’t care if you “believe” in it, denial doesn’t erase T-cell depletion or immune dysfunction.

Devastating for future medical and law students—$50k loan cap per year. This won’t even cover tuition for medical school or law schools. So only the rich will be able to afford to become doctors or lawyers, got it.

So you’re aware, if you wear glasses, that’s a mobility aid and you’re disabled. Glasses are just so normalized that most people don’t see it as such. Imagine if most mobility aids were that way. Imagine how much more respect disabled people would get. It’s completely possible.

I've just read this paper in full and what struck me was not just the very high prevalence of cognitive impairment and memory issues as sequelae of infection, but also that the population effects of such high rates of cognitive dysfunction must be changing society itself.
