Retail Crime and the impact it has on store Colleagues is out of control and completely unacceptable.
‘Loss prevention’ and ‘Profit protection’ is often the focus of discussion on this topic in retail and it shouldn’t be.

The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act was given royal assent on April 28, meaning that abuse against individuals who serve the public is now an aggravated offence. This means customers who attack shop workers will be subject to tougher penalties 👏

The Co-op is leading supermarkets in reducing levels of nitrates in bacon and other cured meats, after research from the World Health Organisation linked the chemical to cancer. The Co-op is cutting nitrate levels in its products by 60% without compromising preservation 👏
