You don't know what you don't know, so that's why I brought in the smartest WNBA writer I know @AnnieCostabile for a brutally honest convo on all the Caitlin Clark vs. Angel aftermath and the idea that I should just "shutup and write." Give it a listen: https://t.co/k5L8OMAcMT

As @SpeakerMcCarthy & @HouseGOP thoughtlessly work to make China the world’s economic leader by ruining America’s credit forever keep in mind our history of federal debt. Notice the pattern below?

The richest 1% took home nearly twice as much wealth as the rest of the world put together over the past two years. Folks, this is what oligarchy looks like.

The @HouseGOP's very first bill of this Congress would: 1) Cut IRS funding 2) Make it easier for tax cheats to thrive 3) Increase the deficit by $114 billion over the next 10 years More great stuff from the party of "law and order" and "fiscal responsibility.”

Educate yourself about IRS. It’s 87k new agents over 10 yrs. 60k are replacing retiring agents. 27k will help improve service & increase audits of those with income over $400k. Every $1 spent auditing the top richest people brings in $5. A HISTORICAL FACT. As a CPA, I welcome it.

Kroger projects $4.9 billion in profits in 2022. Now it's purchasing Albertons, the second largest grocery store chain, for $25 billion. Albertsons previously acquired Safeway for $9.2 billion. Why are grocery prices up? Grocery store goliaths are buying the competition.

Corporate profits only accounted for roughly 11% of price growth from 1979 to 2019. Today, record corporate profits account for 53.9% of price increases. Folks, corporate greed is driving inflation, not workers asking for better wages.

Why didn't any of the latest inflation reporting mention that corporate profits just hit a record high? Corporate profits reached $2.08 TRILLION in the 3rd quarter. Corporate greed is playing a role in driving up prices — and the media will hardly talk about it.

Senators who have unlimited sick days and make $174,000 TAXPAYER dollars per year had the nerve to vote against giving rail workers 7 sick days.

Railroads made $21 billion in profits in the first 9 months of 2022. Guaranteeing 7 paid sick days to rail workers would cost the industry $321 million/year. That's just 1.5% of those profits. Congress just rejected sick leave for these workers. It's profits over everything.

Three multibillionaires now own more wealth than the bottom half of America – 160 million Americans. Don’t tell me we can’t afford a wealth tax on the super-rich.

Oil companies have already posted $127 billion in profit this year versus $42 billion over the same period last year. Folks, inflation isn’t being driven by workers asking for better wages or government spending. It’s being driven by corporate greed.

HOLY SHIT. Shell has reported profits of $9.5 billion for the third quarter compared to $4.1 billion in the same quarter last year. But tell me more about how high gas prices are Joe Biden’s fault, won’t you. FFS.

@xshitmymomsaysx @joncoopertweets Yell at the gas companies. Biden has done all he can on this front. Presidents don’t have magical wands that make oil companies suddenly become less greedy.
