Parking Nightmares!!
SR-88 in front of Kirkwood Inn.
Notice how the parking gets worse the further back you go. Every vehicle in these pictures is parked illegally. On the white line is still illegal as your mirror is over the line and therefore, in the traffic lane.
Vehicle vs. Snow grader
Saturday, Pioneer Trail, South Lake Tahoe
A vehicle driving above the speed limit & on the wrong side of the road, created traffic problems yesterday on Pioneer Trail when it collided into a grader. Thankfully, no injuries.
Thank you to the citizens of South Lake Tahoe!! We know the last few days have been extremely stressful on all of us. Our evacuations went relatively ok. We really appreciate the patience you all showed as we headed out of town. Be safe.
BE PREPARED!

Use caution when traveling around the Lake Tahoe Basin. It is not uncommon to see wildlife in the roadways
Thank you Nevada DOT. We have the same thing happening in EL Dorado County and Alpine County. Bears have definitely become more abundant in the populated areas.
Beware! Wildlife (mule deer/bears) may be moving differently near northern NV roadways due to

Be alert while driving, especially at night, as wildfires can cause animals to wander into populated areas and come into contact with humans they would normally avoid.
I don't even want to say this out loud but, I think summer is over :( Screen shots below are from 2 days ago on Luther Pass (SR-89). Strom dropped hail making the roads slick and dangerous. Yesterday, we had snow flurries and today, freezing temperatures.
Be safe out there.
This snow storm is really creating havoc on our major roadways. SR-88, SR-89, US-50, I-80, and US-395 (In the Sierra Mountains) all have restrictions. Have patience, drive slow, and keep a good space cushion between you and the vehicle in front of you.
