Beyond excited to share this preprint of my work looking at how P. aeruginosa’s surface motility influences S. aureus spatial organization, physiology, and survival.
Check out our newest preprint: P. aeruginosa uses pilus-mediated motility to invade and disperse S. aureus biofilms, rendering Sa cells susceptible to Pa antimicrobials. Without invasion Pa restricts Sa expansion forming dense Sa colonies with altered physiology @asanchezpena_

Researchers found that Pseudomonas aeruginosa persists and continues to evolve throughout the upper and lower airways of people with CF despite the use of highly effective modulator therapy. @catarmbruster @vscooper @jbombscientist
