The pathogens S. aureus and P. aeruginosa often co-occur in infections. A new #mBio study using experimental evolution reveals that S. aureus can quickly adapt to inhibitory compounds secreted by P. aeruginosa, thereby favoring coexistence. @RolfsMicrobes
