The only conferences with more judgment flags against their dogs than favorites: Mountain West and the Big Ten. Lowest ratio SEC and guess what. 64.3% of the SEC v SEC underdogs covered. Also the biggest cover % in 2024. Yes. They are very correlated.

OK. agent gave us the number for 2024 FB games FBS vs FBS. Who got more judgment calls against them favorites or underdogs. Ratio is 52.6 to 47.4%.

Wrong. Nothing in the playoff committee behavior shows any correlation with pre season polls. Its urban legend and wives tale banter.
This wasn’t among the talking points for Big Ten coaches and officials in Las Vegas, but I brought it up to several and they agreed: The preseason polls should be obliterated. They carry too much meaning and shape debate, overvaluing/undervaluing teams before we know anything.

No 1 net judgemnt calls for and against on 2024?. Troy with 15 against and 40 for for a net of over 2 per game. Expected point per drive with a single judgement call.of 10.or more yards is nearly an extra 3 pts. Troy got an estimated 6 pts a game due to the penalty difference.

This is exactly a situation where a GM or DoPP needs to be asking players for CAT scores and use it as a filter. Don't waste time even looking at film on sub 75s in FBS. Stop working for players. You hold the gold. make the rules and make them work for you!.
