Really good read from my guy Matt, who outlines how good Notre Dame has it and why the Irish shouldn’t change anything, other than, you know, not starting 0-2.
Notre Dame got snubbed. It shouldn't change a thing about how the Irish operate moving forward. COLUMN ⬇️ https://t.co/xJxssNApRM

Steve Sarkisian on the effect ND opting out of its bowl game can have on college football: "I don't know about the ripple effect for everybody. We all have goals and aspirations of winning conference championships and winning national championships, at least we do. But I also

The practice time is significant for CJ Carr and the key returning players, often much more so than the actual game.
I'm torn on Notre Dame opting out of the bowl. On the one hand, if you want to blow up the system, sometimes you gotta pull the pin yourself. Notre Dame just did that. On the other, how does skipping 15 bowl practices help Notre Dame make next season a title contending one?

A newsy wrinkle from Bevacqua: As part of an MOU signed last spring, Notre Dame is assured of a CFP berth if it is ranked in the top 12 starting next year. If this year’s situation unfolds next year, the final at-large team (Miami) would have gotten bumped for No. 11 Notre Dame.

Notre Dame will not participate in the postseason after being snubbed for the CFP. Candidly, I visited South Bend on Friday for a separate story and could sense the tension around the CFP selection. There wasn't going to be a lot of enthusiasm for anything else.
