This one made me laugh, let me translate it for you. Public spend as % of GDP in France is at 57.2% at the moment, higher than in the Soviet Union. Program of the far-left populists would get it to 64.7%, and of the far-right populists to 63.3%. In which universe do they live?

Introducing @Tempo. At Stripe, we care about high-throughput, low-latency payments use cases. As the use of stablecoins (and crypto more broadly) grows across Stripe, Bridge, and Privy, we found that existing blockchains are not optimized for them. For example, it's valuable

NEW at WORKS IN PROGRESS ☢️⚡️🔋 France built forty nuclear reactors in ten years across the 1970s and 1980s, for a fraction of today's prices. For the first time in English, we tell the story of how they did it — and what the rest of the world needs to learn to do the same.

new from me for @worksinprogmag: how France achieved the world’s fastest nuclear buildout I tell the story of how France defied the global backlash against nuclear power by aligning local incentives, embracing standardisation and abandoning a failed domestic design. 🧵

This work will also allow us to offer buyer incentives like 1% cash back in the future. And it’s all transparent to merchants, they will simply get normal local currency payouts the same as usual (unless you choose to keep it as USDC!). Stripe helped us make this totally seamless
