No bus lanes should be in effect 24/7. They are on,y needed when bus frequencies are five minutes or under. What sense is it to have a bus lane if buses are operating every 60 minutes? It’s only to punish drivers.
“In the city that never sleeps, our bus lanes shouldn’t either.” Quick, easy way to make buses ✨fast✨ is to make bus lanes operable 24/7 - makes buses faster all hours of the day and reduces confusion for people driving and parking. https://t.co/bntj9GCIfb

Here are the comments to the MTA for the Brooklyn Bus Redesign. There are over 12,000. Virtually all are negative. https://t.co/F24eelf96x Does the MTA believe they can address these comments in the next plan? This has to be an iterative process which is why we need a 2nd draft.

@BrooklynBus "By contrast-all presentations of MTA studies provide limited facts-omit the negatives & community recommendations are only considered when massive numbers support or oppose a change. That results in opposition to all MTA bus changes." https://t.co/PD1iKVBuAp

The MTA doesn’t care about comfort, only what costs them the least. More standing room means they can provide less service. Also, ever try sitting on one of those hard seats for over an hour? When they were cushioned, you could sit for 90 minutes without any problems.
It’s crazy that the new NYC subway cars only have 30 seats and the old ones have 80 and we are in any way supposed to consider this an improvement. Me must return…

https://t.co/Ua7zOehqEk The point that a second draft, not a proposed final plan wasn’t strong enough due to the deficiencies of the first draft plan opposed by every community board.

Flooding in NYC because all of the storm drains are clogged with mostly plastic debris but also fallen leaves. While we dole out tens of billions of dollars to foreign countries, we can’t afford to clean the streets of our country’s biggest city…

20 is adequate for a very small number of streets. It should be 25, 30, or 35 for arterials like it was before Vision Zero.

Why is it outdated? What is wrong with having sone communities with only single family detached homes? Why do we need high density everywhere?
Unfortunately, apartments are banned here. Due to outdated zoning, you can only build 1 and 2-family detached homes on the block bounded by 60th Ave, 60th Ln, 60th Rd, and 60th St.

And another way to slow down traffic to make it more difficult for drivers. Now all traffic must come to a complete halt every time someone has to park or get out of a parking space because there is no more passing.

For just $30 (+ happy hour prices), you’re in for a great time celebrating our transit, honoring those who make a difference for others, and bolstering a growing movement to bridge the gaps in access and improve our transit for everyone. Come to GALA 2025! https://t.co/yeVQifNhTt

This will be a traffic disaster worse than Hillside.
Live from Flatbush Ave - we’re rolling out new centered bus lanes on one of the busiest bus routes in NYC. Over 100k people take the bus here every day, and 60% of residents on this street don’t own a car. Time to give them the red carpet treatment ✨

Anyone who drives knows that if turns are permitted, after the signal turns green, the space ahead of the intersection is already blocked with turning cars and if you wait for the next green light, it will be blocked again, so if you don’t enter on the green, you will not move.
"Blocking the box" is antisocial behavior. When your light turns red and you're stuck in the middle, the cross street can't move. I know it's been a while since you took drivers ed, but don't enter an intersection unless you know you can make it all the way through.
