Each year, only 15 doctoral degrees in economics are awarded to African Americans in the United States, on average. This year, I earned one of them.

I'm rich & this is a lie. When politicians lower my taxes, I don't create additional jobs (only demand does that). I simply save that money Trickle-down economics has been repeatedly debunked yet conservatives lie to you so they can give their wealthy overlords more tax cuts

If you want to help the poor, then lower taxes on the rich. What helps the poor is a productive economy that makes goods and services more abundant and less expensive, while creating employment opportunities. The capital investment that makes that possible comes from the rich.

Trump claims that Thanksgiving prices are down this year. A new report from @Groundwork, @TCFdotorg and @AFTunion using pricing data from grocery stores in November finds prices for Turkey Day staples on the rise--and families are cutting back to afford them.

A weakish jobs report but, as usual, not completely clear. Surprisingly strong 119K jobs added but 3-month average is only 62K. Unemployment rate up 0.12pp to 4.4% but LFPR and employment rate up and U-6 (broadest measure) down. Average hours flat.

The PREE session on Project 2025 and white supremacist backlash was powerful. Huge shoutout to the speakers for grounding this moment in real history and real strategy. EARNCon is bringing a powerhouse agenda this year with deep dives on countering big corporation narratives,
