I had a recent discussion with a friend regarding why whole foods are always more accurate than tracking multi-ingredient foods. Less variables equals more accurate tracking of calories

I try my hardest when I travel to find healthy options, pack whole food snacks, and bring protein powder. It's not as easy as making excuses but it works

When working towards a goal, it will never be easy the entire way. When things get difficult, you have two choices. 1) find an excuse and give up 2) push through obstacles, don't take no for an answer, and never quit

I find that nutrition is far more difficult to hit macros daily with quality foods. Showing up and training hard is the easy part.

In a massing phase, it greatly helps to start eating early and often. Once you reach a caloric intake where eating becomes uncomfortable, the little tricks really start to matter in getting the food down every day.

I've always used dark mode for all my Microsoft apps at work but I recently realized that most of the major apps on your phone also have this option under settings #darkmode

If you default to the food and activity environment around you, you get the same results everyone else is getting. Not good. To be lean and fit and healthy you have to create your own environment.
