Do you think there's pressure being applied to forecast a massive 26 glut and effectively jawbone energy prices lower? I mean they fired the economist from the labor department for posting "unliked" jobs numbers. Seems like everything is on the table 🤷

What I like about this chart is that it take ~10 years to bring an offshore project online on avg. Put another way, we've barely seen the effect of the post 2014 drop off in exploration yet. We should start to feel it over the next five years.
Oil exploration capital has been shrinking at an alarming rate since peaking in 2013. Combined exploration capital for 10 oil companies have shrunk 71% — from $37.6 billion in 2013 to a mere $10.8 billion in 2024. (BNEF) @chigrl

Rig and frac fleet reductions haven't had much of an impact to date and production remained stubbornly high. This paragraph from our recent earnings recap explains why that could soon change.
Frac Spread count is now approaching levels seen in the 2015-16 mass shale bankruptcy period where $300bln of prior investment was revealed to be “misallocated” and went up in smoke. Yea we’re really making the oil patch great again. And btw energy bros, your loss is

LNG exports, even in a max case scenario, likely only hit ~$210B over the full three years.

Can the U.S. hit the $750B ($250B/yr) energy export number the White House alluded to last week? In short - highly unlikely.

Buy a house, let it increase in value, borrow against the equity and buy stocks with the LOC. Infinite money glitch.
If it wasn't for leverage, homeownership wouldn't be a good investment. Canadians are not great savers, so we love homeownership for forced savings + reduced upfront "investment". But leverage cuts both ways. It amplifies returns on the upside... and losses on the downside.

The falling number of oil and gas rigs deployed across the United States is reaching a level that would indicate onshore crude output from the world's top producer could fall in early 2026.

TC Energy owns an acreage out by Priddis. I looked at buying it last year but it has a gas pipeline under it. This ~$70B company still owns this piece of land, presumably still haggling over $50,000 - absolutely comical to watch.

Novi's never been short on innovative ideas - now we have the firepower to execute on more of them. Some really cool stuff coming down the pipe. 🚀
🚀Amazing news: We just raised $35M from #Invictus! This milestone marks a huge step forward as we scale our mission to redefine how capital decisions are made across the energy sector, moving from legacy guesswork to AI-driven intelligence. With this funding, we’ll deliver
