Today makes 100 lbs gone. When I look at the man on the left I don’t see myself anymore. The man on the left was depressed, wallowing in self pity, and drinking every day to cope with the fact that I have a severely special needs child. Literally taking Maci’s ailments, and

Rest in Peace Michelle (Jeep Life) 😢 You brought us all so much joy and lived every day in a way that we all admired on so many levels. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with us. You will be greatly missed sweet Jeep. 💕

My dearest Michelle. I shall miss you so much. You were one of my biggest supporters, always had a kind word. My sweet sister in iron. You shall be missed. 💔
It’s not easy losing a homie. Life is crazy, fragile and unpredictable. I received word that Michelle was in an accident on Thanksgiving and sadly, passed away. Just passing the news along as so many of you have followed her journey. We are gonna miss her. Damn. 😔

This one is brutal. She and I went to her first bodybuilding show back in 2022. I introduced her to a friend that made posing suits and he made the one she wore. Fun person, Army veteran, loved music and micheladas - one of the few humans to ever go drink for drink and song

If you don’t hit the gym today in honor of Michelle @TxSecurityGal , you’re a bitch. I don’t care if you’ve already been today. Go again. As she said “No one can ever take that away from you.”

Is there anyone in Texas that DOESN’T have a Handicap sticker? This has to be the most handicapped state in the nation.

I did a thing Friday. Finally had my promotion ceremony. As I read my speech to the crowd, I thanked everyone that taught me how to fix airplanes, how to be a good Airmen, and those who showed me how to lead. But this little girl is the reason for the man I am now. She

I was riding with my Dad back from deer camp in my Tesla and I turned Grok to story mode and had Ara tell us a story. “Take my Dad back to a Dead Kennedy’s concert in the summer of 1986. What did it look, sound, feel, and smell like?” He was speechless with tears welling in his

Very happy to announce that my niece finished her last treatment at St Jude. She has one more follow up at our local clinic next week and then she is done and back to being a normal kid. My X payouts will continue to be donated.

The Army is notoriously bad with this. It’s not their fault tho. It’s a top down Army problem imo.
The Army is playing this game in my timeline... It's not just them with this, but they tend to lead the pack. The flair on your uniform is supposed to instill a sense of pride and accomplishment, and not be a way to ridicule each other.

I am considering running for political office. In case I’m dumb enough to actually do it, I want to be abundantly clear about something: I didn’t do shit in the military. Unfortunately, there’s a tendency among some veterans to get political aspirations and immediately start
Incredible how many MAGA folks reply to my tweets about the military by telling me someone who “never served a day in the military” should keep his mouth shut. So here I am in Afghanistan in 2006 during my time “never serving a day in the military.”

This is so Army. H2F sleep domain, yada yada. Air Force commanders be like this. “No PT tomorrow, I slept like shit. If I’m not gunna be there, I don’t expect you to be.”

The older I get the more I realize that good luck is 100% controllable and it's directly correlated with how often you leave your house to go do things

The usual banger from German. You don’t have to be extroverted. But get out of the damn house. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had random interactions that have genuinely improved my life just by “luck”. ZERO of them happened alone in my house.

Military privilege: Start young, learn a skill, serve your country, possibly die. Basic housing allowance at 95% of local rent market, whole family healthcare included, free world travel. 20 yrs, guaranteed pension at 50% of your highest 3 yrs of pay.
Boomer privilege: 3.5% mortgages, Social Security, Medicare, 55+ communities (subject for another day), AARP lobby etc. Now property tax exemption on the table. Do we have any programs for young people starting families? Name one good reason why we should not shift resources.

A guy I grew up with joined the Marines out of high school. EOD. Bomb squad. Did a few tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Was home on mid-tour of his third or fourth deployment out on a ride on his Harley. Stops at a red light, the driver of the car pulling up behind him has
