Perfect analysis and sentiment. The loss of community and financial stability has destroyed towns and cities everywhere. Undoubtably, working in heavy industry was hard and racism did exist but we should also be look at positives of the past in order to move forward together❤️
Superb political ad. One of the best you’ll see. This is better, and resonates more, than anything coming from Labour or the Tories.

Who is funding Nigel Farage? Who is funding Tommy Robinson? More importantly, why? Those are the questions journalists and citizens need to be asking.

Did you know there are around two young carers in every classroom? 🧒👧 They’re missing a month of school each year because of putting someone else’s needs before their own. Young carers need support now. Together, we can be there when it matters most. Find out how at

Hi, I'm currently looking into the impact of the PIP cuts on carers for the Big Issue: I'm interested in speaking to anyone receives PIP *and* Carer's Allowance, and who is potentially at risk from the new "four point rule" please RT for circulation

Couldn't have said it better myself ❤️
We were elected to put our arm around the country - not to impose the deepest cuts since George Osborne. These swingeing cuts won’t create jobs - they’ll create poverty. It’s time to pause: withdraw the cuts and work with disabled people to redesign the welfare system.

❗ No child should have to know what a food bank is, let alone need one. Repost if you agree

As someone who visits young people in schools frequently, I see these changes all the time. There are exceptions of course, but many schools have become much less child friendly and deeply unhappy places for many children 😢
‘School hasn’t changed! Why are so many more young people unable to attend? Don’t they just have to learn to put up with it?’ I’m often asked all of these questions. So here’s a quick answer. School has changed since most of us over the age of 30 were there. Starting in 2010

Absolutely this, the proposals being made to PIP reforms will just pass the burden of cost onto a different department. Carers will have to return to paid work to make ends meet and social care fill the gaps Decisions being made are so shortsighted and devastating for all 😡
PIP reform carries consequences that will ripple through the economy. Unpaid carers save HMG £168 billion pa on social care. No PIP means no Carers allowance etc. implying carers will have to get jobs to exist. So who will pay for the needed social care? (Hint - HMG)

The omelettes from West Bar canteen were legendary. Happy days Sgt 🫡
#ThrowbackThursday 2002 - running Comm's teams at West Bar in Sheffield. Pressure, plates spinning all over the place, steep learning curve, cops popping in to chat jobs over, quality breakfasts from the canteen in an iconic, falling to bits station Class! #police #teamwork

This !
#PIP Personal independence payments is not an out of work benefit. It is for a disabled person’s care & mobility needs. Many disabled people in work claim PIP whom without this support will not be able to continue working. Can MPs and the media check their facts before they post

Still some wonderful people in this space but the positives are being outweighed by posts from those who's opinion and values I find really challenging being forced upon me. Not disappearing all together just yet, but I am testing the waters in 🦋

Increasingly depressed by the nature of content forced upon me on by X. The rhetoric and absence of kindness is too much for someone who cares so deeply about creating a kinder and more equitable world. If you have made the leap to 🦋 let me know & I'll seek you out ❤️
