Maybe leave the medical advice to medically qualified professionals? Oh wait sorry, my bad, it’s a free for all now isn’t it…
But the public can play their part too - please do seek help when you need it. We would rather see you sooner when viruses are easier to treat, than later when it is more difficult.

Whilst well intentioned, the Assisted dying bill is flawed. I would urge all those in the unenviable position of having to vote, to consider the opinion of 4/5 palliative care doctors, and those of people such as Liz Carr, before making their decision -

I’m currently reviewing the Darzi report (I have some comments and questions to share later!) but one thing the report is very clear on: Changing the healthcare model (universal, tax based) would be idiotic “We cannot afford not to have an NHS” Insurance model is too costly!

Access to obesity services is severely restricted across England. Over 1/3 of areas have restricted or no access to tier 3 services, while 1/5 have no bariatric surgery service. My investigation for @bmj_latest👇 @bariatricBOMSS @NHeslehurst @UK_ASO

💯 And I would say it actually doesn’t go far enough, the state of the NHS is almost entirely due to what has happened outside of the health service.
I fear this part of the Darzi report already risks getting lost - but it is absolutely key. If we want to avoid another lost decade for the NHS, we have to invest in the wider public sector and all the other things that make up the wider determinants of health.
