While @ocean_mining is decentralizing mining, Core devs are trying to relaunch Ethereum on Bitcoin.
It hasn't even been a year since we launched DATUM and pretty much all OCEAN blocks are now created by miners simply using us for reward splits. I'm really happy to see how fast this is getting adopted.

The only way to solve the spam issue on Bitcoin is to maintain updated filters. A consensus change will NOT solve the spam issue. Especially if it is viewed as a one-time "set it and forget it" fix.
