This is looking like it will be another whopper of a flu season in the northern hemisphere as China now finds out. Clearly they’re dealing with a nasty H3N2 subtype that’s evolving quickly and infecting their vast population rapidly.

@AutonomicBrad @BirdieBittern Type 1 diabetes is not typically associated with EDS (but can mean other autoimmune disease will develop such as thyroid/celiac). Covid itself however is now associated with new T1D- even in adults.

@BornFree_isms @BirdieBittern hEDS is the only type of EDS that isn’t currently testable genetically but hopefully that changes soon. Here is a potential linkage that I spoke of.

@AutonomicBrad @BirdieBittern I have new T1D (from Covid), they initially tested for additional autoimmune. Having known a number of T1D’s I’ve never heard of this. Did your mom have obvious symptoms?

@BirdieBittern AML is a devastating diagnosis for anyone but particularly someone this young🥲. I’ve lost 2 people to it. A friend has an indolent return of a chronic lymphoma. Her mRNA shots might help to keep it that way. I hope so. 🙏🏼
