If a moral theory really makes this kind of demand, then we have no use for it. The rest of us will be doing something us.

Any species that believed this ideology would quickly go extinct, which shows you how unviable such a belief system is.

Then once you start favoring the almighty impartiality principle, it’s purely suicidal.

Sure you might want to save humanity but there are trillions of these aliens. Therefore you are obligated to favor them.

The idea of not being able to tell what AI videos are real fills me with dread but the same thing happened to pictures and it doesn’t me.

This doesn’t have a simple answer. Democracy at larger levels makes it more likely that some small group is democratically unrepresented.
The United States would absolutely insist upon equal representation, at the very least, in a world government, and would not tolerate a lesser status on the basis of having a lower population. This is actually an extremely good analogy for understanding the status quo with

People are so crazy. None of it is real or meaningful.
moltbook looks like a very big deal to me, one of those things that suggests the world is changing in an important way. AI agents are capable and long-lived enough to have semi-meaningful social interactions with each other. A parallel social universe develops from here.

I think we need to stop saying parents are traumatizing their kids over things like discipline & teaching them boundaries. Some kids are ruthless. Some don’t wanna give up. Some like to push boundaries. The man literally just asked his kid to pick up a carrot. It might not be

Therapy culture is insidious and destructive. It taught people to be narcissistic and to blame all of their problems on being disciplined as a child.

The sooner you’re child learns that this is a stupid thing to be upset, the better off they’ll be.

The “suffering” a toddler has because they don’t want to clean up their mess off the floor doesn’t actually matter.
I think parenting has way less impact on outcomes than most people think. Mistreated kids often turn out fine. Affecting outcomes is not why you should be good to your kids! You should be good to them because they are people, and making people suffer* is bad. It's simple.
