4/ Why it matters:.Personalised nutrition is here! 🥗.CMC-sensitive microbiotas, when transplanted into mice, triggered colitis 🔥 under CMC exposure. Hence, baseline microbiota 🧬 is key to understand and predict the impact of emulsifiers!.

3/ ✨ New finding:.We developed an in vitro gut microbiota model that:.✅ Replicates individual responses to CMC.✅ Predicts who might be sensitive—based on their baseline microbiota metagenome.We could predict sensitivity status before exposure, just through microbiota analysis.

2/ Background:.Dietary emulsifiers such as carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) disrupt the microbiota and promote chronic inflammation in mice. In humans, our previous trial (FRESH found that not everyone is equally sensitive to CMC. So why such difference? 🤷‍♀️.
