What a disgrace this platform has become in the last 3 years. But I'm not going to run away from the racists, white supremacists, and outright Nazis that have been allowed to take over this platform. We can't run to our own silos and leave their hateful ideas unopposed here.

Will Tulsi quit? Of course not, the grift and need to be close to power override all. Wish those supporting her ten years ago could see through her obvious bs.
A vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for Dick Cheney and a vote for war, war and more war. A vote for Donald Trump is a vote to end wars, not start them. We are at a historic crossroads. Our God-given rights are under attack. Now is the time for us to stand together, for love of

Pakistan starting a conflict with Afghanistan over - checks notes, supporting terrorist groups - is quote ironic considering the history of Pakistans involvement in Afghanistan. The army with a state created this monster.
All-out war between Afghanistan and Pakistan “could spur militant attacks against Americans and American interests in South Asia, cause chaos in the wider region, and even trigger further conflict between India and Pakistan,” warns @MichaelKugelman. https://t.co/kixj7LkeUR

One legal point: The DoW "supply chain risk" designation applies to DoW *contracts,* not generally. DoW can tell suppliers "don't use Anthropic when performing DoW contracts." But DoW can't, legally, tell its contractors "don't use Anthropic even in your private contracts."
This week, Anthropic delivered a master class in arrogance and betrayal as well as a textbook case of how not to do business with the United States Government or the Pentagon. Our position has never wavered and will never waver: the Department of War must have full, unrestricted

Within a just a few hours today, Trump has once again hinted at a third term, and then asked if a Supreme Court case can be reheard or readjudicated. If Biden said anything like this, such as after the student loans decision, the R's would be calling for the 25th Amendment.
Trump on the Supreme Court's tariffs ruling: "Is a Rehearing or Readjudication of this case possible???"

The depths of dishonesty the GOP will go to are never-ending. The January PPI print shows inflation on the rise. MoM: 0.5%, est 0.3%, Dec 0.4% YoY: 2.9%, est 2.6%, Dec 3.0% Core: 3.6%, est 3.0%, Dec 3.3% This follows a hotter-than-expected December PCE print.

Great discussion here. Pedro's (@emeriticus) experience in the far right exposes the incentives for writers and influencers to peddle nonsense, even if they don't believe it. Those opposed to the far right should extend some grace to people who are brave enough to leave.
New @KnowYrEnemyPod: we talked to @emeriticus about why he left the MAGA movement. Great convo.

The staffer reading Crocketts text out to the reporter as she kicks her out is VEEP level material. Why the hell would you do that? Incompetency, or intentionally blowing up the campaign?
"Elaine from Atlantic, white girl with a hat and notepad. She’s interviewing people in the crowd. She’s a top-notch hater and will spin. She needs to leave."

Apprently Section 122 of the US Trade Act was written to give the President the power to impose tariffs if he lost a court case. Some people have the strangest ideas.

I would like to think if you had a Nazi tattoo on your chest for 20 years like Platner did, and were running for a swing US senate seat, you should probably make sure not to retweet actual Neo-Nazis like Stew Peters. That's just me though. 🤷♂️
This thing where we are expected to do background checks on people before doing a QT is so tiresome. Shit posters on here don’t have time for that. A QT is not an endorsement of the OP’s entire body of work! Most normal people do not know off hand who the Nazis are.

It's not just the lies being spread. Is it that a President used MOH ceremonies as a political tool during a State Of The Union speech? In 250 years this is the first time this has happened. The recipients deserved their award ceremonies to be untainted by politics.
There were a lot of portions that Ds didn't stand for which they should have, but it's just a lie to say they didn't stand during either of the MOH awards.

My new @opinion column digs into the IEEPA tariff refund "mess" of the Trump administration's own making, and why ANY outcome short of blanket, automatic refunds will severely disadvantage the US small businesses that had billions of their dollars illegally confiscated last year

Low 80's among GOP voters is a disaster for Trump. He is also underwater for every other crosstab bar white-non college. The panic among R's cannot be far away. If the SOTU is flat or poor, look out for runners.
