Called in @BenGoldsmith’s stunning Cannwood site in #Somerset today. Gets better and better every time I see it. Truly wonderful abundance and diversity of wildlife. Huge quantity of Burnet moths. Tree Pipits singing everywhere. New ponds buzzing with dragonflies. Superb.

farm uses adaptive grazing and long rest periods to revive the landscape. Already, they’ve restored 70 acres of priority habitat, expanded traditional orchards, and are planning a major agroforestry project.

We went out to a Peregrine Falcon, which appears to have been kept in captivity and released in very poor condition. Thankfully it was rescued by Woodlands small Wildlife Rescue and taken to a specialist rehab centre. We have taken DNA in hope to trace back to original nest site.
